NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha election 2019 next month – Indian General Election 2019 schedule is out and the national election will be held in seven rounds from April 11 and the results will be announced on May 23. Assembly polls will also be held simultaneously in Andhra Pradesh, Sikhim, Arunachal Pradesha and Odisha. In 2014, Narendra Modi-led BJP had won 282 seats out of 543 constituencies in Lok Sabha and nearly 2,000 parties and 8,000 candidates will be contesting elections for 543 seats.

Lok Sabha Election 2019: Date, Schedule

Lok Sabha Election Dates:

Voting will be held across India on Aprill 11, April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19.

Lok Sabha Election Polling Stations:

More than 10 lakh polling stations would be set up to conduct the Lok Sabha election 2019, Which is a new world record. Voter-verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) will be used in all polling stations. 1.1 million electronic voting machines will be used in Lok Sabha Election 2019.

Lok Sabha Election 2019: Find your name on voters’ list

1. Go to the National Voter Portal’s (NVSP) Electoral Search page- electoralsearch.in.

2. You can search your name on Voter List by entering details about you- Name, Age, Date of Birth, Gender, State, District. Or you can simply punch in your EPIC number, which is you Electoral Photo ID Card number. Also mention the State and you can able to check your name, polling station.

Lok Sabha Election 2019: Register to Vote

Visit https://www.nvsp.in/ for voter registration.

Fill form 6 that helps ‘First time voters’ who have shifted to another constituency and submit.

Upload you ID and address proof and your photograph. Once all the details are filled in and hit submit button.
